UPDATE

As at November 2021, the Zaric family still have to do painting to complete the work but they have funds for this.  Cody is having an operation in Sydney on his knees due to Rickets caused by his severe medical conditions.

The good news is that we have surpassed the required funds for the project at the Zaric house and we would like to thank everyone for their generous donations. Unfortunately because of COVID19 things have been thrown out a bit. We have been able to organise the roofing materials for the house and we are just waiting for those to be delivered to Nangus.

Ricky Zaric will arrange for the roof to be put on. It is necessary for it to be done this way because of COVID19 we are unable to have any teams there to help. Now with the restrictions of only two people being together it is hampering what we can do. Because of Cody’s susceptibility to any infections, particularly with his lungs, it has been decided that we shouldn’t have anyone go to the property so that we don’t compromise him.

Both Peta and Ricky are extremely grateful for all that the Rotary Club of Merimbula together with other Clubs of Districts 9700 and 9710 have been able to do for them so far. We will keep working with them to get the best available outcome for them as a family.

The Rotary Club of Merimbula together with other Clubs of Districts 9700 and 9710 are collaborating to provide assistance to the Zaric family, firstly by renovating their transportable home in the village of Nangus in the Riverina region of New South Wales.  Please click on the link https://rotaryclubofmerimbula.com.au/page/struggle-street to read the story of the Zaric Family battling to care for a chronically ill child.
